More about our CIT program...

Counselor-in-Training Program

Are you too old to enjoy camp as a traditional camper, yet too young to be employed as a counselor?

The CIT program is a wonderful opportunity for teens, ages 13-15, who want to further develop their leadership skills as well as gain experience in planning and instructing activities for young children.

Each CIT will be assigned to a counselor and a group of children. CITs will assist counselors in all aspects of camp operations and will learn about responsibility, leadership, and the satisfaction that accompanies a job well done. The CIT participants will also design, plan and execute an afternoon activity in both the recreational component and academic/language component.

Acceptance into the program is based on an application and interview. CITs do not need to be fluent in Chinese, but must be open to learning and supporting campers on their adventures in chinese!
